Greetings from Carolyn Stich Studio! This is our first blog post, first of many we hope! First off, we’d like to thank all of you for your endless support and friendship, it means the world to us. It has been one crazy year for us here at the studio.
The biggest changes started in December when we moved in to the entire space at 208 College Avenue in downtown Holland, MI. Opening an art studio in the middle of a Michigan winter is risky business, but we took the risk and have been so incredibly blessed ever since. We survived the winter and had quite a bit of fun along the way. That’s one thing we were worried about in switching locations- would the charm and fun we had in the old studio above the Apothecary Gift Shop transfer to the new studio? Well turns out, it wasn’t the space (though the space truly was magical). Art has a certain way of bringing people from all walks of life together through creativity and fun. We at Carolyn Stich Studio are so lucky to be able to foster that atmosphere.
One of the biggest thrills for Carolyn was winning the Tulip Time poster this year, 2015. Because of this honor, Tulip Time was such a whirlwind of fun. For the first time ever, Carolyn Stich Studio put a float into all three parades, all of which were a blast to walk in. The Tulip Time festivities continued as we hosted hundreds of wonderful ladies and gentlemen painting delft glassware. Tulip Time is always so much fun, but this year was especially special. We would like to thank everyone who made it such.
Since Tulip Time has ended, we haven’t slowed down at the Studio. So many exciting things are on the horizon for Carolyn and the studio, this Summer is shaping up to be a great one.
Again, thank you so much to everyone who has supported us as we continue to grow and create.
